#148 My generation

0
    こんにちは!

    私は「ゆとり世代」呼ばれるgenerationです
    いつもこの一言でひと括りにされることに、何だか納得いかない
    私自身です…Docomo_kao8

    ただ、確かに育った時代によってある程度の「傾向」はあるのも
    事実かもしれませんね

    皆様はどのようにお考えでしょうか?

    "My generation"

My generation is called the "baby boom generation's children", because I have many friends and it was very fun.
On the other hand, my generation had a large population, so it was very difficult to pass the entrance examination.

When we were entering high school, Japan had been favored by a business boom. All of us thought finding a job would be easy. But things broke badly for us. The economy turned down. Jobs were hard to come by.

My generation got the short straw.

My generation has been labeled the 'Play station generation' with negative connotations of laziness and a lack of social skills or manners.

In all honesty I do not think that generations are all that different from each other. Young people are seen as rude and rebellious; elderly people as grouchy and fiercely conservative.
Many parts of the world were shaken by the rapid social changes of the 1960s but since then things have stabilized and trends which originated them continue slowly.

Sexual and racial equality has not yet been reached but perhaps it is slowly getting there. Technology may change and boom may follow bust, with the cycle continuing, but I think generations are not all that dissimilar; we are all destined to become our parents for better of worse.
