ESSAY OF THE WEEK

#22 My favorite possessions

今日のessayは"My favorite possession"です
"What does it mean?"
Things you can't live without"

My favorite possessions are all of family photo albums.
We have many albums, and they show not only my history, but also my family's history.
I sometimes enjoy looking at the albums with my family, and we get into animated conversation when it comes to our
childhoods. I love to spend time looking at photos with my family.
So if I could bring only one piece of luggage, with no wavering, I'd certainly bring our albums.
I will keep on making more memories, and when I have some children, I will also make family albums like the ones my parents have made.

教師より

These days, with digital cameras, people can do many
interesting and creative things with their family photos. And a few years ago, one of my sisters had our old 8mm home movies transferred to DVD.

#21 Recent trend I dislike

I sometimes feel that the number of disposable items has increased recently, and new disposable products are appearing one after another especially cleaning utensils which are being changed to disposable type. I don't like this trend. There are many kinds of disposable products, like ballpoint pens, towels, toothbrushes, paper cups, plates, cameras and many others. There are almost too many to mention.
Of course, it is true that they are convenient and clean because after we used them, the only thing we have to do is throw them away.
But it's clear that they are not environmentally friendly products. And more importantly, this trend shows people do not care about the environment.

教師から

I don't like the idea of disposable cleaning utensils either, but I have to admit that I sometimes use them. I think that it's too bad that so many disposable chopsticks are used in Japan.
