#25 Can Japanese overcome its current economic difficulties?

やっと梅雨が明けたと思ったらいきなり真夏のような暑さ
ですね。。
これからは暑さとの戦いですが、夏を楽しみたいですね★
さて、今日のessayは
"Can Japanese overcome its current economic difficulties?"
です。やっと不況のどん底から回復したように思える日本経済
ですが、まだまだ厳しい状況が続いています。
その中で、このtopicは誰にとっても"?"かもしれません。
それでは、生徒様のessayを紹介したいと思います！
Although this is just my opinion,
Japan would be able to overcome the current great recession in one or two years.
Now, Japanese are taking into account the exportation of cutting-edge technologies: infrastructure such as high-speed rail, digital TV broadcast systems, nuclear electricity plants, and so on.
There are also many new inventions in the pipe line.
If we could take the initiative, these technologies would be innovations that substitute as alternative sources of revenue.
On the other hand, Japan has serious financial and welfare problems. And also, we need proper control over the huge dismissal rate, and the low birth rate.

Japan has focussed on exports as a major source of revenue since the end of the war but now, with the Chinese surge into international markets, Japan needs to innovate. Even if Japan can emerge from recession, investment in the future of the nation will be vital to ensure it doesn't slip back into another deep downturn.
